Expanding Access to Chiropractic Care: Dr. Rosenthal’s Lifelong Mission

For over 30 years, Dr. Rosenthal has been a fierce advocate for patient choice and access to chiropractic care. As a lifelong wellness patient himself—coming from a chiropractic family—he has experienced firsthand the incredible benefits of regular chiropractic adjustments. His and Dr. Marini's passion lies in helping patients achieve better health naturally.

The Challenge: Barriers to Care Despite the ongoing opioid epidemic and the increasing demand for natural, cost-effective healthcare solutions, patients around the country continue to face unnecessary roadblocks when seeking continued care. Many insurance plans cut off care once a condition moves beyond the early acute phase, leaving patients without the support they need to maintain their comfort and level of function.

Delaware: A Leader in Chiropractic Access Unlike many other states, Delaware is a leader in fair access to chiropractic care. One of the most impactful laws Dr. Rosenthal helped shape involves the ongoing coverage of chronic conditions through "supportive care." This care differs from wellness care (for prevention and health optimization) or active care (for new conditions or flare-ups). Delaware laws define it as:

Chiropractic Supportive Care – Continuous, medically necessary treatment for patients diagnosed with chronic pain or disease to maintain function or prevent deterioration.

In other words, this care (typically 1-2 times per month) helps people with permanent conditions live with less pain and more function while avoiding the pitfalls of typical pain management using drugs (swallowed or injected). A person qualifies for supportive care if their condition worsens during a period without chiropractic care. This game-changing care has improved the quality of life for countless Delaware residents.

Who Covers Supportive Care? While some plans, such as Medicare, are not subject to state laws, many large Delaware-based plans that our office participates with recognize the value of ongoing chiropractic care, including:

✅ State of Delaware Employee Plans

✅ Health Options (Medicaid)

✅ AmeriHealth Caritas (Medicaid)

✅ Delaware Health First (Medicaid)

A Commitment to Your Health Drs. Rosenthal and Marini remain dedicated to protecting and expanding access to chiropractic care, ensuring that every patient has the opportunity to choose a natural, drug-free approach to health and wellness.

If you or a loved one suffers from a chronic condition, you may qualify to receive ongoing supportive chiropractic care. Please talk to one of the doctors when in the office or request a phone consultation. The potential relief and lower odds of avoiding addictive drugs or invasive procedures will be worth it!
